In my late 20s, I finally discovered the answer to the lifelong question, "What do you want to be when you grow up?" I want to be a Proverbs 31 wife, a Wife of Noble Character. Thus, my journey begins....

Its a Girl!

Mary Elizabeth will be here in a few short months!! We found out that our sweet little angel is a little girl on Tuesday and we are so excited to meet her!! We found out that there is a 3D ultrasound studio here in Cumming that will do guaranteed gender determination at 15 weeks! The place is called Window to the Womb and for super cheap, we were able to spend the better part of an hour watching our sweet little girl wiggle around in my belly. I know I'm pretty partial but she's already pretty cute. :-) Below are some of the pictures from her photo shoot.

At first, Parker looked sort of worried, like he was afraid he wouldn't know what to do with a little girl. But it didn't last very long and ever since then, he's been getting more and more excited everyday. He did say that we were going to have to refinance the house and buy a shotgun. The first thing we did when we left the appointment was go buy her first UGA cheerleading uniform. Its so cute, I can't wait to see her in it!!

Wednesday night, we had Parker's family over for the gender party. We went to Publix and bought the cutest cake that said "Boy or Girl?" It had had pink and blue balloons and streamers all over it. We asked them to make the middle layer of frosting pink so that when they cut into it, they would know the big news! It was so fun! They were a little bummed to have to wait all the way through dinner but they were good sports. We had Bob and Becky, Preston and Beth, the twins, and Kara and Ashley all over for the party. After dinner, they were barely able to wait for Parker to finish his meal. Everyone voiced their guesses (4-2 in favor of a boy!). We had Becky cut the cake while Bob videotaped and everyone erupted in screaming and clapping when they saw the pink frosting. It was so fun!

The next day we told my family and they weren't quite as excited, stating that they all somehow knew. But they were very happy to be right! Mary Elizabeth is already much anticipated and already being spoiled rotten. After knowing for less than a week she already has 8 new outfits and mom has a pretty pink and purple diaper bag!

3D image of our little girl! She's still pretty skinny but mamma's working on plumping her up. ;-)

Looks like she's already a thumb-sucker

This one she's looking right at us, probably wanting her privacy already!

Can you see her little hands curled up to her face? So cute.

Looks like she has her daddy's long feet!

Waving to the camera!
